Adrian Griffiths

Founder & CEO

Background
Prior to founding Recycling Technologies in 2011 Adrian co-founded two successful UK businesses: OEE Consulting and Vendigital. He is an experienced business leader within the manufacturing sector, a Chartered Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College.

Key achievements 
Adrian's main achievement has been to help RT build a talented and diverse team that aligns with the belief that we can do better, a team that now has the potential to change the story of plastic.

Motivation
“I'm passionate about reducing the impact of modern life on our environment for my children and their children. I also love to see the ingenuity of talented people, their ability to change things when nudged in the right direction.”


Ravish Jain

Commercial Director

Background
Ravish joined RT soon after the company’s foundation in 2013. Previously, he worked for Reliance Power Limited in project development, regulatory compliance and fundraising for a multi-billion-dollar power and coal mining project. He has an MBA from Warwick Business School (UK) and a degree in Mining Engineering from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad (India).

Key Achievements
Ravish has been instrumental in raising equity through individuals, crowd, strategic and institutional investors and has successfully secured multiple government grants for the company.

Motivation
“RT has a very lively atmosphere, everyone is very friendly and achievements are always celebrated. On top of that, we are solving a global problem that the whole world desperately wants.”


Elena Parisi

Sales & Marketing Director

Background
Elena holds an MSc in Biochemical Engineering from UCL, a BSc in Chemical Engineering from La Sapienza University in Italy. She has also completed further education in Finance at the LBS and she is currently pursuing an Executive Master in Marketing and Sales at SDA Bocconi and ESADE Business School.

Key achievements
Elena has been at the forefront of the dialogue with the industry to develop the RT7000 in line with market demand. She is behind the relationships with the industry, trade bodies, customers and projects for the internationalisation of the company. In 2019 she also started a rebranding to deliver a more energetic and modern image of the company.

Motivation
"I genuinely believe we have a role to play in solving the global plastic problem and that this is not only right for our planet but also for our industry and for a new sustainable way of doing business. I am here to create a new market space, a blue ocean."


Sophie Gilham

Head of Sustainability

Background
Sophie joined RT as one of its first employees back in 2015. She brings skills from an MSc in Environmental Consultancy and a BSc in Environmental Science.

Achievements
Since joining RT, she initially applied her skills to commercial agreements and regulatory compliance, and has raised several million in government funding to advance RT’s growth. Now heading a new dedicated Sustainability department, she is committed to ensuring corporate sustainability and environmental performance is as at the core of RT’s operations.

Motivation
"I am dedicated to leaving the planet in a better state than I found it. It is therefore a privilege to be striving for just that as part of RT. To do so alongside a team devoted to the cause – whatever their motivation – makes it easy to get up in the morning."


Marvine Besong

Technical Director

Background
Marvine has spent nearly a decade in process design, detailed engineering, plant construction and commissioning, plant operation, troubleshooting and optimisation and more than five years leading the development of RT's core technology. He has an MSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham and is a member of the IChemE. Marvine also spent some time working as a design and projects lead in a Manufacturing environment.

Key Achievements
Marvine has been fundamental in the delivery of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation demonstration scale plant and is now leading the development of the RT7000. He also led patent applications to further protect RT’s technology and created a structured team for the R&D and engineering functions.

Motivation
“I want my life, my work, my family to mean something. Working towards a better future for the planet or to make life better for others and doing so while working with an amazing group of people and creating innovative technology inspires me to do what I do.”


DALE RAUTENBACH

Manufacturing Director

Background
Dale has an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pretoria.

Key Achievements
Dale has been heavily involved with optimising the productivity of RT’s core technology. She has experience in system design, plant integration, and commissioning. Her experience in the technical areas of the business at RT bring a high level of cross-functionality to manufacturing.

Motivation
"I will always give 200% when I do something and it’s hard to keep the energy alive when it’s not aligned with what I value. I love engineering, solving problems and I love the environment – it’s my happy place and I feel I have a duty to preserve it."


Will Garrard

Operations Director

Background
Will has a wealth of experience in manufacturing and operations, particularly in modular, off-site construction, engineering projects and site operations. Previous roles have included Manufacturing Director at UNITE Group PLC, COO of Snoozebox Holdings and as a divisional European Industrial Engineering lead for Mars Inc.

Key Achievements
Will brings deep experience in project delivery, multi-site operations and supply chain management from his time at UNITE, Snoozebox and Mars Inc. He is responsible for establishing sites, delivering the operational capability and the knowledge transfer that will be needed for RT global scale-up.

Motivation

Stephen Pascoe

Finance Director

Background
Stephen is a senior finance professional and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has worked with a wide range of organisations, including private businesses and large multinational and listed companies. Prior to joining RT, he spent over 20 years at PwC working in the UK and internationally.

Key achievements
Stephen has led the finance team to respond to the needs of a rapidly growing business. For the past 2 years he has been crucial in securing funding from equity, grants and loans including the negotiation of the commercial and financial partnership with our strategic investors. 

Motivation
“I’m glad that I can leverage my financial skills and experience to make RT a successful commercial organisation to have a positive impact on society.” 


Penny Grobler

HR Director

Background
Penny brings over 20 years of experience across multiple business functions, including sales, operations, manufacturing, and supply chain.

Key Achievements
Having led teams and managed people at all levels and across different regions, Penny is now using her well-rounded business experience and passion to develop and grow the RT culture and team.

Motivation
“There is very little more satisfying professionally than bringing together business need and engaged people.  Being able to create and maintain that environment, helping the business succeed and watching people flourish - that's what Living the Dream is all about for an HR Director”
