Tesco Trials in the News: Julie Skentelbery interviews Adrian Haworth on BBC Radio Cornwall

BBC Radio Cornwall News Centre

Cornwall’s shoppers see first-hand marine litter from plastics & are actively mitigating this, re-using & reducing waste where possible. This morning we spoke with BBC Radio Cornwall about how we’re helping shoppers to recycle previously “unrecyclable” plastic packaging at Tesco stores. Recycling has an essential role in making plastics sustainable for everyone & there is now an urgent need for improved on-the-go & at home recycling. The end game of the Tesco trials is to demonstrate “1bin4allplastics” council collections will be possible with UK-wide improvements in recycling infrastructure.
