Emma Britton interviews Adrian Haworth this morning about the recent announcement about Tesco using Recycling Technologies to get rid of non-recyclable plastics.

Adrian Haworth talks about how the company is working with Tescos on a pilot programme with collection points at 10 local Tesco’s stores, where Swindon and Bristol communities can deposit plastics such as crisp packets, soft films, black and laminated plastics. The trial collection will then come to our facilities to be sorted and recycled. Adrian stated that plastic is a fantastic material which helps us reduce our carbon footprint by protecting food and making packaging lighter. The solution is to make recycling of all plastics easier, which this trial aims to demonstrate.
