The UK Government has today published its new Resources and Waste Strategy, with an emphasis on encouraging investment in recycling and the wider UK economy as a whole.
Adrian Griffiths, Chief Executive at Recycling Technologies said,
“The Government’s new Resources and Waste strategy encourages greater reuse and recycling of materials and plastic in particular and will drive much-needed investment into waste collection services and increasing recycling capacity here in the UK. The clear incentive for greater use of recycled plastic content in packaging will require existing mechanical technologies and feedstock plastic recycling to provide significantly greater volumes of recycled raw materials to polymer manufacturers. The Government’s strategy reaffirms Recycling Technologies’ business plans to build and continue to develop our industrial and scalable solution to recycle plastic from feedstock recycling.”
