APPRENTICE OFFICE MANAGER

POSITION FILLED A Trainee office Manager is required to assist and ultimately manage the day to day running of the office. This will include the financial and mandatory routines such as invoicing, payroll, fire systems etc. as well as the general administration.

The successful applicant will be provided with full training in conjunction with New College.

VACANCY DESCRIPTION 

The vacancy is for an office manager apprentice that will as they progress become responsible for the following areas within the business:-

  1. Administration: Ordering stationery, opening the mail, answering the phone, invoicing, paying invoices, managing the payroll [with the assistance of the accountants].
  2. Compliance: ensuring the H&S risk assessments are up to date, fire alarms, emergency lighting, gas installations, security alarms, PAT etc. are all conducted at the correct times by cost effective suppliers.
  3. ISO 9000: we want to gain this accreditation as soon as possible. We can bring a consultant in to guide, but the apprentice could manage this process and develop the documentation for the system. Progress reporting on this would be to the Board.
  4. Marketing: Organising seminars, booking venues, making transport arrangements, sending out invites.
  5. Shareholder communication and events: assisting with the newsletters, organising open days, including hotels, logistics etc.
  6. In addition the role will include developing the business systems to maintain professional interactions and relationships with customers, suppliers and shareholders.

TRAINING TO BE PROVIDED 

On the job training will be provided by Recycling Technologies Ltd. Apprenticeship qualification training will be taught and delivered by New College, and will consist of the following elements:

  • A Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business and Administration
  • A Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Business and Administration
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
  • Functional Skills at Level 2 in Maths*, English*, and ICT*
