A company set up to develop recycling technologies for plastic waste has secured the advisory services of one of the UK’s foremost waste recycling experts.
Recycling Technologies, a spinout company from the University of Warwick, has welcomed Peter Jones OBE to the team as an adviser to the board. Mr Jones worked as a director for the waste management company Biffa until 2008 when he set up his own consultancy company, Ecolateral. Today he is a guiding force within the Public and Private sector offering strategic direction on the “turn waste into resource” transition”
“I am a passionate believer”, says Peter, “that waste should be dealt with as close to its source as possible. Not only does this reduce the environmental cost of transportation, but can significantly reduce heat waste normally associated with centralised systems.”
